I watched Footloose last week, and I guess I liked it, but besides the cool soundtrack, there isn't really anything overly special about it. That girl (the one in the cowboy hat) was so stupid it actually got annoying after a while. I mean, her lack of common sense almost got her killed twice in the first 40 minutes of the movie.

Okay, now that I'm done complaining, I'll say that this was my favorite scene in the movie and one of the few that I thought were memorable. Kevin Bacon gets dared to chicken fight this guy, loses control of the tractor, and wins. It was a defining moment because showing up this guy makes him cool.

It's been 4 months and I almost forgot I had these blogs, so I'm back with a little Patrick Swayze! Dirty Dancing rocks, and I love this song! If this MTV video is actually from the 80's, it adds a little extra retroness to the post. If not, it's still Patrick Swayze, right?

Nickelodeon Silver Ball

This here, my friends, is the Nickelodeon silver ball ident used from 1981-1984 (which I never knew existed--I just assumed the 'splat' was there from the start).



While were on the subject, did anyone else know that they took Nickelodeon Studios out of Universal Studios in Orlando? Even the Slime Machine's gone! I have a lot of good childhood memories from Nick Studios. Eh, I'll get over it I guess. They took out the Back to the Future ride, too. It's disappointing.

Mr. Deeds Goes to Town

I love the movie, Mr. Deeds, with Adam Sandler, but I never knew it was a remake of an old one until I saw this at the library and rented it. I like the new one better--it's funnier.

Nick Rewind

I can't believe Nick Rewind is on hiatus! I hope it doesn't get cancelled! I just bought Season 1 of "The Adventures of Pete & Pete" today, and I'm trying to find "Clarissa Explains it All."

My computer is being obstinate and won't let me post the Pete & Pete intro. I'll try again tomorrow, but for now, here's a picture of it. Big Pete reminds me of Breck a little bit.
